TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR, in collaboration with GRAB Philippines, conducted a one-day Basic Automotive Preventive Maintenance and Servicing training for 23 women GRAB drivers on March 19, 2025, at RTC-NCR, Bldg. 9, PMS Facility. Led by TESDA Trainer Mr. Jervin G. Yambao, the hands-on session focused on changing engine oil and replacing brake pads/shoes to enhance participants’ basic automotive skills.

This activity aimed to empower women drivers by equipping them with practical knowledge in vehicle maintenance, promoting safety and confidence on the road. Held in line with the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration themed “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas,” the event underscored TESDA’s support for women’s empowerment and skills development across sectors.
This collaborative training strengthened the partnership between TESDA RTC-NCR and GRAB in promoting tech-voc education for women. Both organizations expressed commitment to future initiatives that will continue to uplift women drivers, supporting their role in building a more inclusive and progressive society.
