RTC-NCR Strengthens Green Skills Through Benchmarking at Huawei Technologies Philippines

The Regional Training Center–NCR (RTC-NCR) conducted a benchmarking visit to the Huawei Exhibition Room on April 6, 2026, at Milestone, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City. The activity aimed to explore advanced technological innovations and best practices in smart energy and ICT integration. The RTC-NCR delegation was led by Center Administrator Mr. Eugene P. Agcaoili, together with Mr. Jerry O. Taroy, Supervising TESD Specialist, and Ms. Rita Mae P. Jordan-Gamboa, TESD Specialist II. They were joined by industry partners including Mr. Roel Uy, Energy Consultant; Mr. Emmanuel R. Yu, President of Brills Marketing Corporation; Mr. Allen L. Po, Business Development Executive; Mr. Ouev Villaruel, Solutions Engineering Manager; and Mr. Oliver P. Catacutan, Account Specialist. Representatives from Huawei Technologies Philippines, namely Mr. Jeswin Duazo, Channel Manager, and Mr. Romerico Justiniano, Commercial & Industrial Director, facilitated the tour and technical discussions.

The visit provided an in-depth look at Huawei’s state-of-the-art exhibition center, a high- tech facility designed to showcase its latest innovations, ICT solutions, and vision for a fully connected and intelligent world. Key highlights included smart city solutions, intelligent operations centers, and the FusionSolar Smart PV+ESS Solutions tailored for both residential and commercial applications. Participants were introduced to advance technologies such as smart inverters, photovoltaic (PV) modules, AI-powered arc fault circuit interruption (AFCI), and real-time smart energy management systems, all demonstrating high-efficiency power generation and enhanced operational safety.


This benchmarking activity enabled RTC-NCR to gain valuable insights into emerging industry trends and technological advancements relevant to technical vocational education and training (TVET). The exposure supports the center’s ongoing efforts to enhance its training programs, particularly in renewable energy and smart technologies, ensuring alignment with current industry standards. Ultimately, the visit strengthens RTC-NCR’s capacity to deliver future-ready training programs that contribute to
workforce development and sustainable energy solutions.
