The TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR (RTC-NCR), in partnership with Huawei Technologies Philippines through Brills Marketing Corporation, successfully conducted a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Event on April 6, 2026, at the Huawei Exhibition Room, Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig City. The event was attended by key representatives from both organizations, including President Mr. Emmanuel R. Yu, Business Development Executive Allan L. Po, Account Specialist Mr. Oliver Catacutan,
and Mr. Romerico Justiniano, Commercial & Industrial Director of Huawei Technologies Philippines, alongside Mr. Jeswin Duazo and the Huawei Marketing and Business Development Team. From TESDA, Regional Director Angelina M. Carreon, Assistant Regional Director Gerardo Mercado, and RTC-NCR Administrator Mr. Eugene Agcaoili, together with their respective teams, were present to formalize the partnership.
The collaboration between TESDA RTC-NCR and Brills Marketing Corporation, an authorized market partner of Huawei, aims to strengthen the integration of Smart Photovoltaic (PV) technologies and digital platforms into technical vocational education and training (TVET). This partnership will facilitate the provision, installation, and utilization of advanced PV technologies to support the training, reskilling, and upskilling of trainers and learners. Key initiatives include training equipment donation, implementation of skills training programs, access to Huawei ICT Academy (Digital Power), development and enhancement of PV system installation and servicing programs under the area-based and demand-driven TVET framework, micro- credentialing, supervised industry learning (SIL), industry immersion, and training of
trainers, as well as support to RTIC-SIPTVETS through smart PV technologies.
This initiative marks a significant milestone in advancing green skills and promoting sustainable development within the TVET sector. Through this partnership, TESDA RTC-NCR reinforces its commitment to delivering quality training, improving the employability of its graduates, and developing a future-ready workforce. By aligning training programs with industry standards and emerging technologies in renewable energy, the collaboration ensures that learners are equipped with the competencies needed to meet the evolving demands of the energy and construction industries.
