President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited the TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR in Taguig City on October 10, 2025, to witness firsthand how world-class skills training continues to empower Filipinos. The visit emphasized the national government’s strong support for technical education and skills development as a foundation for employment, productivity, and inclusive growth. It also highlighted the role of training institutions in preparing a future-ready workforce.
During the visit, the President toured several key facilities of RTC-NCR, including the Mechatronics Workshop, Welding Area, HVAC Center, Automotive Center, and Visual Graphic Design Workshop. He observed trainers and trainees actively engaged in hands-on training using modern equipment and industry-aligned methods. The tour demonstrated the center’s capacity to deliver competency-based training that meets current industry standards.
The visit further reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to strengthening Filipino skills through high-quality and relevant training programs. Along with officials from DOLE and TESDA, the President reviewed innovative programs in welding, mechatronics, automotive servicing, HVAC, barista, plumbing, and other trades. These programs are designed to respond to evolving industry needs and ensure excellence in technical education.
RTC-NCR staff warmly welcomed the President, together with the trainers and trainees of the center. The visit served as recognition of their dedication and hard work in delivering quality training. Overall, the activity reinforced TESDA’s mission to equip Filipino workers with the right skills for today’s industries and tomorrow’s opportunities, contributing to national development and global competitiveness.
