The Train the Trainer session by Advansol Power Technologies Co., Ltd. was a meaningful
learning experience for the trainers of RTC-NCR. It focused on the hands-on installation of
PV MLPE or module level power electronics to the existing solar system of the center. This
activity marks an important step towards adopting advanced solar technology into the training
curriculum for PV System Installation.
One of the main highlights was the practical immersion led by Mr. Tomy David and Mr.
David Liang from Advansol. They guided the trainers on the installation of rapid shutdown
devices and MLPE components which are essential in making solar systems more efficient
and safer. This aligns well with the goal of upgrading the competencies of TESDA trainers to
keep pace with evolving industry standards.
The training was held at RTC-NCR located within the TESDA Complex in Taguig City on
April 21 2025. Participating in the session were Junrey M. Eguna Senior TESD Specialist and
PV Trainer and Jerry O. Taroy, Vocational Instructor Supervisor and also a PV Trainer. The
trainers appreciated the industry exposure and modern techniques shared during the training.
This activity is part of the continued efforts to enhance the PV System Installation NC II
curriculum. It ensures that trainers are equipped with the most up to date practices in
renewable energy technology. It also strengthens the link between TESDA and Industry
sector partners like Advansol.
