Strengthening Skills Through Training Citicore and TESDA Exploratory Meeting

The Citicore and TESDA exploratory meeting on January 23, 2025, was a productive
discussion on training collaboration. The highlight of the meeting was the plan to
enhance the knowledge and skills of Citicore executives, engineers, and employees
in photovoltaic (PV) system installation. Both organizations agreed on the
importance of reskilling and upskilling the workforce to meet industry demands. This
partnership aims to provide quality training that aligns with Citicore’s specific needs.


The meeting was held online through the Zoom platform. It was attended by TESDA
Partnership and Linkages Focal Rita Mae P. Jordan-Gamboa and Citicore Senior
Manager Salvador Niño Velasco and Katherine Fresnoza. The discussion focused
on designing a customized training program based on the results of the Training
Needs Analysis. A 40-hour CBT program for PV System Installation was presented
as part of the initial plan.


RTC-NCR will take the lead in providing the training program for Citicore’s workforce.
The program aims to develop technical skills essential for PV system installation.
TESDA emphasized that the training plan can be adjusted based on Citicore’s
feedback. Both parties look forward to finalizing the details and implementing the
training successfully.
