𝐑𝐓𝐂-𝐍𝐂𝐑 Exploratory Meeting with Mitsubishi for Possible Partnership

The follow-up meeting between RTC-NCR, Mitsubishi Electric Corporation (MELAP), and Shoketsu SMC Corporation was held on June 5, 2023, at the RTC-NCR Building in Taguig City. The purpose of the meeting was to further discuss the proposed smart building project and to explore the equipment and software solutions presented by Mitsubishi and SMC. This report provides an overview of the meeting, including the participants, location, objectives, and next steps..

The meeting was attended by the TESDA-NCR representatives headed by Mr. Junrey Eguna (Senior TESD Specialist), Mr. Reggie Pallasigui (TESD Specialist II), and Mr. Ryan Carlo Clemente (TESD Specialist II); Mitsubishi Electric Corporation – MELAP representative, Mr. Gary Bonifacio Bundoc and Ms. Lhen Sebastian; and the Shoketsu SMC Corporation representative, Ms. Carmie Valderama, Assistant Manager.

The primary objective of the meeting was to delve deeper into the equipment and software solutions proposed by Mitsubishi and SMC for the implementation of a smart building in RTC-NCR. The presentation focused on a Building Management System that would enable efficient monitoring of facilities not only in RTC-NCR but also in other buildings, such as the HVAC Facility in the Daikin Building, Car Care Center Building, and Innovation Center Building. The meeting also included a benchmarking tour of these facilities to assess specific equipment needs and identify appropriate disciplines for each room and building.

In addition, there will be a schedule for training the TVET trainers of RTC-NCR would be developed, targeting a start date in July. This training aims to equip the trainers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the proposed equipment and software associated with the smart building project. By empowering the trainers, RTC-NCR ensures a seamless transition and successful implementation of the advanced technologies.
