On May 06, 2025, the TESDA Regional Training Center-NCR conducted a one-day training on
Basic Motorcycle/Small Engine Preventive Maintenance and Servicing training for PDL’s at
BJMP Metro Manila District Jail Annex 2. Led by Trainer Eufemio R. Lunzaga Jr. the session
equipped Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL’s) from BJMP Metro Manila District Jail Annex 2
with hands-on skills in changing engine oil and cleaning CVT components of a motorcycle to
support their rehabilitation and reintegration.

This initiative highlights TESDA-RTC NCR’s Commitment to inclusive skills development,
providing PDL’s with basic motorcycle preventive maintenance knowledge and develop skills
that enhances their future employability. Through hands-on learning, participants gained
valuable technical skills that can contribute to livelihood opportunities post incarceration.
With the success of this training, TESDA-RTC NCR and BJMP look forward to expanding similar
programs to further empower PDL’s through vocational education, reinforcing the role of skills
training rehabilitation and reintegration.
