Jomar C. Lipaopao’s journey with TESDA RTC-NCR began when he discovered the agency through Facebook, where he learned about its free training programs. As a BS Electronics Engineering graduate, he was drawn to Mechatronics Servicing NC II and NC III because of their strong connection to his field of study. He saw these programs as an opportunity to deepen his understanding of automation systems, sensors, relays, and magnetic contactor devices—all crucial in modern industries.
One of the biggest advantages of being TESDA-certified, according to Jomar, is its impact on career growth. He highlights that employer value National Certification (NC) holders, as it serves as proof of competence. “Kapag NC Holder ka, malaki ang chance ng promotion mo, sapagkat ito ang isa sa mga tinitingnan ng mga employer sa panahon ngayon,” he shares. The combination of quality training and industry recognition gave him a competitive edge in his profession.
As a Person with Disability (PWD), Jomar’s success story is even more inspiring. Instead of seeing his condition as a limitation, he used education and skills development as a stepping stone to greater opportunities. RTC-NCR’s inclusive training environment allowed him to maximize his potential and excel in a highly technical field.
His story is a testament to the fact that determination, skills, and continuous learning can break any barrier, paving the way for success in the ever-evolving world of technology.
