The Regional Training Center – National Capital Region (RTC–NCR) celebrated its 5th Year Anniversary through the successful conduct of the Open House and Learning System Showcase held on July 7, 2025, at the Regional TVET Innovation Center (RTIC) in Taguig City. The event was graced by Hon. Mayor Maria Laarni “Lani” Cayetano, alongside TESDA–NCR Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr., and RTC–NCR Center Administrator Eugene P. Agcaoili.
The celebration highlighted the RTC-NCR Learning System, community-based training programs, and facilities designed to promote accessible, inclusive, and industry-aligned skills development. Through guided tours of the RTC buildings and MDTAC, and presentations, the event showcased RTC–NCR’s vital role in bridging the gap between education and employment. Mayor Cayetano expressed her support for deepening partnerships with RTC–NCR to uplift communities through lifelong learning and skills-based empowerment. The initiative aligns with TESDA’s vision of fostering local workforce readiness through collaboration with LGUs, schools, and local industries.
Also in attendance were Dir. Maria Gracia Dela Rama (MuntiParLasTaPat District Director), Dr. Cynthia Ayles (DepEd SDS for Taguig-Pateros), Mr. Norman Mirabel (PESO Taguig Head), Ms. Cecille Amaro (Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center Head), representatives from Muntinlupa City Technical Institute (MCTI), and barangay officials of Taguig City. RTC–NCR reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) by expanding community-based programs and continuing collaborations with local partners to ensure that no learner or worker is left behind.
