Empowering Job Seekers Through RTC-NCR’s Participation in The Labor Day Celebration

The Labor Day Celebration Event at Paranaque Sports Complex was a vibrant tribute to Jobseekers and Filipino workers’ resilience and contributions to nation-building. It brought together a diverse range of participants, including City government of Parañaque, Department of Labor and Employment, private companies, as well as the representatives from TESDA RTC-NCR, regional directors, and enthusiastic jobseekers, all united in celebrating the theme “Sa Bagong Pilipinas: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at kasama sa pag-asenso.”

During the event, TESDA RTC-NCR, in coordination with the MUNTIPARLASTAPAT district and TESDA Regional Office, showcased innovative learning systems and training programs. Gilbert Castro’s introduction to the learning system, including the Mechatronics Servicing program’s 3D Printer and Robotino, and the Virtual Reality Welding Simulator for Shielded Metal Arc Welding, captivated attendees which led the Jobseekers’ keen interest in the technology offered by RTC-NCR’s training center led to registrations and considerations for enrollment. This event underscored the vital role of modern education and skills development in empowering Filipino workers for a brighter future.

The event welcomed key figures such as Regional Director Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer Jr. from TESDA-NCR Regional Office, Muntiparlastpat District Office District Director Atty. Angeline T. Chaves along with their staff, and also dedicated RTC-NCR personnel Joy Tumambing, Christian Picones, Regie Pallasigui, Ryan Carlo Clemente, Kevin Radomes, and Rene Greg Clariza led by Gilbert Castro. Their active participation added depth and relevance to the event, creating meaningful interactions with attendees last May 1, 2024.

The RTC-NCR highlights the importance of bridging the gap between job seekers and training opportunities especially for those with lacking or needing of technical skills. It underscored the need for continuous innovation and the integration of modern technologies in vocational training. Looking ahead, RTC-NCR can further enhance its outreach efforts and tailor programs to meet the evolving needs of job seekers in the region.
