On January 24, 2024, RTC-NCR initiated a partnership with G&G Fabrication Services to facilitate Supervised Industry Learning (SIL) for learners in Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC III. Two batches of students was deployed, with the first batch started on January 29 2024 and the second batch on February 12, 2024.
Throughout the program, a total of student was deployed, immersing themselves in hands-on training and practical applications under the supervision of G&G Fabrication Services’ owner, Mr. Jonathan Gesmundo. This initiative aimed to provide students with real-world experience and enhance their welding skills in a professional setting.
The success of the SIL program was evident as Two students were offered employment opportunities by G&G Fabrication Services upon completion of their training. This outcome underscores the effectiveness of industry partnerships in bridging the gap between education and employment, offering students tangible career prospects and pathways in the welding industry.
