Fulfilling its commitment to support Regional Training Centers, the RTC-NCR Advisory Council diligently held quarterly meetings throughout 2023, both in person at the RTC-NCR Conference Room and virtually via Google Meet.
Composed of representatives from government, industry, and academe, the Advisory Council is responsible for providing policy advice, guidance, and building networks for TESDA-administered schools and Regional Training Centers nationwide. For RTC-NCR, the Advisory Council is led by its Chairperson, Mr. Cynder Villas of Daikin Philippines. Other members include:
- Mr. Gilbert M. Castro, Center Administrator of RTC-NCR
- Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles, Regional Director of Department of Science and Technology (DOST) NCR
- Atty. Norma B. Tañag, Zone Administrator of Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA)
- Dr. Danilo V. Ayap, President of Lyceum of Alabang
- Dr. Eduardo G. Ong, Chairman for Education of Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI)
- Mr. Edicio G. Dela Torre, President of Education for Life Foundation
Throughout 2023, the RTC-NCR Advisory Council made significant strides. They formulated six impactful resolutions focused on improved governance, industry partnerships, and curriculum and training delivery within the Center. Additionally, they successfully accomplished all activities outlined in their 2023 work plan, ensuring the Center operates effectively for the benefit of all stakeholders.
