Unveiling Innovation: TESDA RTC-NCR’s Open House Showcasing the Latest Learning Technologies
TESDA Regional Training Center-NCR conducted a substantial educational event through an Open House and exhibition featuring their state-of-the-art Learning Technologies. This event is in connection with TESDAβs 29th Anniversary Celebration that took place last August 30, 2023 within the premises of the TESDA Complex in Taguig City.
In this scholarly exploration, a total of 166 guests attended the said event including TESDA Personnel, Industry Partners, neighboring TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs), TVET Learners, and Walk-in Clients as prospective learners and partners of the Center.
True to the Centerβs Vision, this event serves as a beacon highlighting the Centerβs commitment in providing State-of-the-Art technology facilities and programs at par with the current Industry skills demand.
The continued integration of these cutting-edge technology bridges the gap between traditional educational paradigms and the rapidly advancing requirements of the modern workplace. This is achieved through the wholehearted adoption of digital tools, simulation platforms, and immersive learning experiences by training centers.
The event highlighted RTC-NCR’s learning systems that are presently utilized to enhance the quality of the training programs offered. These includes:
VRTEX 360 Compact – a new mobile virtual reality welding simulator for multiple environments that provides a flexible, powerful, cutting-edge solution for welding training, featuring superior graphics, which creates the most realistic and responsive welding puddle available with accurate visuals, sounds, and movements.
MPS-D Station – It is a combination of robotics, automation, mechanics, electronics, electrical, control engineering, and information technology. It also develops critical thinking skills including data analysis, interpretation, evaluation, inference, problem-solving, and application.
Off-grid PV Systems with Home Automation – simulates how the PV components are mounted, wired, and operated to enable the learners to relate it to actual house wiring and boost their confidence in becoming effective PV System installers after they graduate from the training. This mock-up also showcases the basic home automation which electrical installers may encounter from client demands as it is one of the emerging technologies in the 4th IR.
Other Learning Systems were also showcased during the Open House which includes: 3D Printer, Robotino, PMS Facility, HVAC Facility, and the iMac Laboratory.
