INSTITUTION-BASED TRAINING PROGRAMS

COMMERCIAL AIR-CONDITIONING INSTALLATION AND SERVICING NC III

Sector: Heating, Ventilating, Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology Sector

Training Duration: 720 hours (in-house training 320 hrs + SIL 400 hrs)

A person who has achieved this Qualification is competent to be: 

✓ Commercial Air-Conditioning Unit Installer
✓ Commercial Air-Conditioning Unit Maintenance Technician
✓ Commercial Air-Conditioning Service Technician (HVAC/R Technician)

Course Description:
This course is designed to provide the learner with knowledge, skills and attitudes applicable in installing, servicing and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing including starting-up, testing and commissioning commercial air-conditioning units. This includes classroom learning activities and practical work in the actual work site or simulation area.

COMMUNITY PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT SERVICES LEVEL IV

Sector: Social, Community Development and Other Services Sector

Training Duration: 207 hours

A person who has achieved this Qualification is competent to be:

Course Description:
This course consists of competencies that a person must achieve to conduct planning activities, coordinate programs, facilitate program implementation, generate resources and monitor and evaluate programs. It particularly focuses on competencies relating to training for employment.

Course Description:
This course consists of competencies that must be possessed to enable a person to install, configure and test mechatronics and automation devices/system.

Course Description:
This course is designed to develop & enhance the knowledge, skills, & attitudes of a mechatronics and automation technician, in accordance with industry standards. It covers the basic & common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as developing mechatronics and automation control circuits and PLC application programs, developing motion control and system configuration on mechatronics and automation systems as well as maintaining and repairing PLC-based mechatronics and automation systems.

PV SYSTEMS INSTALLATION NC II

Sector: Construction Sector

Training Duration: 311 hours

A person who has achieved this Qualification is competent to be:
✓PV Systems Installation Technician
✓PV Systems Commissioning Technician

Course Description:
The course is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable attitudes and skills of a PV Systems installation technician in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as: perform site assessment, check PV components and materials compliance, install and commission PV system and prepare documentation requirements for PV systems installation.

It also includes competencies in workplace communication; work in a team environment, practice career professionalism, practice occupational health and safety, prepare construction materials and tools, perform mensuration and calculation, maintain tools and equipment, observe procedures, specifications and manuals of instructions and interpret technical drawings and plans

Course Description:

This course is designed to provide the learner with knowledge, practical skills and attitude, applicable in performing work activities involve in installing, servicing and maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing domestic refrigeration and air-conditioning (Dom/RAC) units. This includes classroom learning activities and practical work in actual work site or simulation area.

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of Stewarding in accordance with industry standards. It covers core competencies such as performing mess hall service, performing housekeeping service and providing assistance in receiving and storing provision and supplies.

This course is also designed to enhance the basic and common knowledge, skills and attitudes of an individual in the field of stewarding.

Course Description:

It covers the basic & common competencies in addition to the core competencies such as to develop designs for logo, develop designs for print media, develop designs for user interface and user experience as well as develop designs for product packaging and booth & product window display.
