The Regional Training Center–National Capital Region (RTC-NCR) and Asia Pacific College
(APC) held a collaborative meeting on August 16, 2025, at the RTC-NCR Building 14,
TESDA Complex, Taguig City. The event brought together representatives from APC’s
College of Engineering and College of Architecture and RTC-NCR’s management and
training staff to discuss joint initiatives in certification, technology sharing, and research and
development (R&D). The meeting marked a significant step toward strengthening the linkage
between technical-vocational education and higher education institutions.
The discussion centered on collaboration opportunities that would integrate APC students
from the Electrical and Electronics Sector, Architecture, and Multimedia programs into RTC-
NCR’s certification processes while fostering technology exchange and R&D cooperation.
Both parties explored ways to align competencies, training resources, and innovation
projects to industry standards, ensuring that students gain skills relevant to emerging
technologies and creative industries. As part of the engagement, the APC team toured RTC-
NCR’s training facilities, including the Mechatronics Laboratory, PV System Installation
Workshop, Visual Graphic Design Rooms, Multimedia Room, TESDA-Petron Car Care
Center, and TESDA-HONDA Room. They also visited the PMDTAC to observe the carpentry
workshop for WorldSkills ASEAN 2025 competitors and the MDTAC masonry and tile setting
facilities.
