Strengthening Online Safety Practices Among RTC-NCR Trainees


The Basic Self-Defense Class: Online Safety & Social Media Protection was conducted on December 1, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM via Zoom. The session was organized by the TESDA Women’s Center and participated in by the TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR. The activity aimed to raise awareness on online safety risks and to equip trainees with practical knowledge and skills in protecting personal information in the digital space.

The session was attended by RTC-NCR trainees from RAC Servicing (DomRAC) NC II, Mechatronics Servicing NC II, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I, and Automotive Servicing NC I. Topics discussed included common online threats such as phishing, identity theft, and unsafe social media practices, as well as practical guidance on privacy settings and responsible online behavior. The trainees actively participated throughout the session and demonstrated increased awareness of online safety concerns. Overall, the activity was successfully conducted and deemed relevant and beneficial for promoting secure and responsible digital engagement among the trainees.
