PHILIPPINE COAST GUARD TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The Transition Assistance Program of the Philippine Coast Guard was held last August 20 2025 at PCG Farola Manila. The highlight of the event was the presentation of RTC NCR training programs and facilities led by the Rita Mae P. Jordan-Gamboa, Partnership and Linkages Focal as speaker. The orientation aimed to inform retiring Coast Guard personnel of the programs they could avail as part of their transition to civilian life.

During the session RTC NCR presented its programs and facilities to retiring officers and staff. The discussion opened doors for upskilling and reskilling that could help them transition smoothly into civilian careers. Participants expressed appreciation for the practical learning paths offered which can serve as tools for livelihood and personal growth.

The event was attended by officers from the Coast Guard Retirement and Benefits Administration Service. Present were CDR Michelle A Bencito, PCG Director CGRBAS; LT Presley L Arquiza, PCG Deputy Director CGRBAS; and LT Felise Vida S Fuentes, PCG Chief of Staff CGRBAS. Their presence emphasized the importance of helping members transition to sustainable post service opportunities.

The orientation highlighted RTC NCR’s commitment to partnership and service. It also strengthened the relationship between TESDA and the Philippine Coast Guard in providing continuing education and skills development. The collaboration created an avenue to equip retiring personnel with new skills aligned with industry needs.
