The TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR successfully conducted a Photovoltaic (PV) System Installation training for 21 uniformed personnel from The Office of the Army Chief Engineer (OACE) of the Philippine Army. The training was held from July 28 to August 1, 2025 at RTC-NCR Building 14, TESDA Complex, Taguig City, and was facilitated by Trainer Junrey M. Eguna. The program aimed to equip participants with the technical knowledge and practical skills essential for the installation, operation, and maintenance of PV systems.

The five-day program provided comprehensive instruction on the key processes involved in PV system deployment. Participants learned site assessment procedures, PV module and inverter installation, battery storage setup, electrical wiring and safety protocols, and system commissioning. Hands-on activities included site shading analysis, mounting design, cable sizing, grounding, voltage drop calculations, and preparation of system documentation. These competencies are vital for supporting sustainable energy solutions and enhancing the operational capacity of the Philippine Army’s engineering units.
The event was well-received by the participants, reinforcing TESDA’s role in providing relevant and accessible training programs. Moving forward, the Regional Training Center – NCR remains committed to offering micro-credential courses that support lifelong learning, workforce readiness, and technical advancement in the automotive sector and beyond.
