In celebration of its 5th founding anniversary, the TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR (RTC-NCR) successfully held its Trainees Day on July 30, 2025 at RTC-NCR Building 14, TESDA Complex, Taguig City.
The event gathered current trainees from various qualifications, including Mechatronics Servicing NC III, Visual Graphic Design NC III, Commercial Air-Conditioning Installation and Servicing NC II, Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing NC II, and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) NC I and II.
Anchored on the theme “RTC-NCR: Five Years of Transforming Filipino Workforce through Innovation, Creativity, and Excellence,” the Trainees Day aimed to provide non-curricular yet meaningful activities to promote camaraderie and celebrate the trainees’ talents and creativity. The day began with a Health Talk titled “A Drive to Better Health, for a Better Life,” with guest speaker Dr. Erica Davillo, in partnership with Pocari Sweat. It was followed by a series of engaging challenges such as the RTC-NCR Art of Change Challenge, Greenovation: A Sustainable Skills Pitch Challenge, and the Show Your Skills: TikTok Challenge. These activities highlighted the innovative and artistic capabilities of trainees outside the usual training environment.
The event was attended by RTC-NCR personnel, trainers, and staff who supported the activities throughout the day. The celebration concluded with an awarding ceremony, recognizing the winners and outstanding performances in each challenge.
With the enthusiastic participation of the trainees and the strong support of the center’s personnel, RTC-NCR looks forward to continuing its tradition of empowering skilled Filipinos—not just through technical training but also by promoting holistic development and creativity in the TVET sector.
