DepEd-Taguig & Pateros and RTC-NCR Strengthen Collaboration inTechnical-Vocational Education

The Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Taguig City and Pateros (DepEd TAPAT) and the TESDA Regional Training Center–NCR (RTC-NCR) formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on July 29, 2025, at the RTC-NCR Conference Room, TESDA Complex, Taguig City. The signing was led by DepEd TAPAT officials Cynthia L. Ayles, CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent; Arturo A. Tolentino, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent; Atty. Brent B. Buliyat, Division Legal Officer; and Desiree Adrigado, Senior Education Program Specialist, alongside RTC-NCR officials led by Center Administrator Eugene P. Agcaoili, Supervising TESD Specialist Jerry O. Taroy and Partnership and Linkages Focal Rita Mae P. Jordan-Gamboa. 

The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration between DepEd TAPAT and RTC-NCR in delivering extension programs that will enhance the capacity and competencies of both teachers and students. This includes the conduct of capability-building activities and the promotion of skills development among Senior High School learners enrolled in the Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track. In addition, RTC-NCR reaffirmed its commitment to providing its extension program for DepEd Taguig and Career Guidance, to help students make informed decisions about their future paths. The partnership ensures that training will align with national Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) standards and institutional development goals, equipping learners with practical skills for future employment and personal growth.

The MOA signing was attended by key representatives from both institutions, marking the start of a strategic partnership that underscores the importance of joint efforts in education, skills training, and career development. Both parties expressed commitment to sustain the collaboration through continuous program implementation and future initiatives aimed at addressing the evolving needs of the academic and TVL sectors. This partnership is expected to create long-term benefits by fostering a highly skilled, career-ready, and competitive Filipino workforce.

RTC-NCR and DepEd–Taguig & Pateros have officially joined forces to strengthen Technical-Vocational Education and Career Guidance programs. This partnership will open more opportunities for teachers and Senior High School students, providing capability-building activities, skills training, and guidance to help them make informed career choices. Together, we are shaping a skilled, competitive, and future-ready Filipino workforce.
