The TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR proudly concluded its Visual Graphic Design Training Program held from December 16, 2024 to April 8, 2025, with a total of 513 hours of hybrid evening sessions. The training combined online lectures with face-to-face workshops to deliver a flexible yet comprehensive learning experience. Facilitated by Trainer Demetrio C. Pable Jr., a seasoned visual design educator who has coached Filipino competitors in prestigious global competitions such as ASEAN Skills, WorldSkills Asia, and WorldSkills International, the program aimed to sharpen the creative, technical, and collaborative skills of aspiring designers, professionals, and freelancers.

Participants engaged in a deeply immersive and hands-on training experience across five major design disciplines: Logo Design, Print Media Design, UX/UI Design, Packaging Design, and Booth/Product Window Display. Each module was structured with industry-standard tools and project-based learning, simulating real-world workflows and challenges. Learners created original brand identities, social campaigns, interactive wireframes, package designs, and mock-ups for retail spaces—all grounded in client-style briefs. Beyond software proficiency, the training emphasized design thinking, user experience, and production readiness. Sessions were dynamic, combining theory with immediate application, critiques, revisions, and final presentations of outputs that mirror the pace and pressure of actual industry settings.

What truly enriched the program was the strong sense of camaraderie and collaboration built among the participants. Group activities encouraged teamwork, peer feedback, and open dialogue—mirroring professional design studios and fostering a culture of shared growth. Learners collaborated on concept development, offered constructive critiques, and supported each other through creative challenges. The program also integrated mini design sprints and role-play simulations, where trainees acted as designers, clients, and project managers—preparing them for the multi-faceted nature of the creative industry. Many participants expressed that the training not only enhanced their skills but also built their confidence, expanded their networks, and gave them a real taste of working in a fast-paced, collaborative design environment. The TESDA Regional Training Center – NCR continues to champion quality, world-class design education that prepares Filipino creatives to thrive in the local and global industry.
