On May 20, 2025, a courtesy meeting was held at RTC-NCR TESDA Complex in Taguig City between the Center Administrator and the new Operations Manager o Honda Philippines Inc. The meeting focused on the pilot offering of Motorcycle/Small Engine Servicing NC II and the formal launching of the TESDA-HONDA Room.
The highlight of the event was the discussion of the work plan and a site visit to the TESDA-HONDA Room, which is envisioned to deliver quality training for Motorcycle and Automotive Servicing NC I and II. It showed a strong partnership between TESDA and Honda Philippines to improve technical training and provide industry-based skills development.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Crecelle San Jose, Executive Director; Marjorie Torres and Melvin Pernes of Honda Foundation Inc.; Jun Lumibao, Edyboy Cortel, and Leo Cachero of Honda Philippines Inc.; and Mr. Malon Padaoan of Honda Cars. Representing RTC-NCR were Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator; Jerry O. Taroy, Vocational Instructor Supervisor; and Rita Mae P. Jordan-Gamboa, Partnership and Linkages Focal.
They discussed the timeline and implementation strategies for the training program and how to ensure the readiness of the facility. Both sides expressed their commitment to the successful rollout of the TESDA-HONDA Room.
This activity strengthened the collaborative efforts of TESDA and Honda to support youth and workforce development through technical education.
