RTC-NCR Supports 9th Philippine Robothon Competition Through Innovative Exhibit Participation

The 9th Philippine Robothon Competition, held at St. Paul College in Pasig City on February 3, 2024, saw participation from schools across Mega Manila, Pampanga, Bulacan, and Batangas. 

Central to RTC-NCR’s involvement was the exhibition of its state-of-the-art technology, Robotino, a versatile mobile robot platform designed for research and education. Boasting omnidirectional drive, sensors, interfaces, and application-specific extensions, Robotino shines particularly in logistical applications, showcasing the center’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement.

Moreover, Mr. Regie B. Pallasigui, a seasoned trainer of Mechatronics Servicing at RTC-NCR, was honored to serve as a distinguished member of the board of judges for the competition.

Beyond the competition, RTC-NCR used the platform to promote TESDA’s programs and industry-driven courses in various sectors. The theme “F.U.T.U.R.E. (Filipinos in Unified Technologies, Unveiling Robotics Excellence)” emphasized the importance of technology in addressing community challenges and inspiring youth.

As the event concluded, St. Paul College was recognized as the top-performing school, followed by Brokenshire College Toril and Immaculate Conception Academy- Greenhills. Their success highlights the dedication to excellence in robotics and STEM education.
