As part of TESDA’s 29th anniversary celebration, the TESDA Regional Training Center-NCR in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH) – Philippine Blood Center has conducted a blood donation activity on August 10, 2023 held at the RTC-NCR lobby.
The venue was transformed into a welcoming space, complete with comfortable registration and waiting areas with ready snacks and refreshments for donors creating an engaging and encouraging atmosphere.
The one-day blood donation activity was joyfully participated by employees and learners within TESDA Complex and even walk-in clients who got encouraged to voluntarily donate their blood that day gathering a total of 45 successful blood donors out of 58 screened individuals.
TESDA RTC NCR Center Administrator, Mr. Gilbert Castro, expressed his gratitude to all TESDA personnel and learners for responding to RTC’s invitation for participation to this second time blood donation activity of the center. He also commended the medical team of the DOH-Philippine Blood Center for ensuring the smooth and safe blood donation process. He mentioned that many lives can be extended through this kind of activity especially in our public hospitals where our fellow citizens in need of blood are situated.
