TESDA REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER - NCR

To ensure the quality of research to be delivered by the RTC-NCR and other TESDA trainers in the National Capital Region, RTC-NCR in partnership with Technological University of the Philippines

To ensure the quality of research to be delivered by the RTC-NCR and other TESDA trainers in the National Capital Region, RTC-NCR in partnership with Technological University of the Philippines- Taguig Campus initiated a training entitled Applied Research: Retooling TECH-VOC Teachers in Teaching and Learning of Technology Courses. This is to further enhance the capability of the Research & Development personnel involved to acquire sufficient knowledge and tips on conducting and writing applied research.

The participants of the training were coming from MDTAC, TMTAC, TNTI, TPTAC, PMDTAC, QCLBSDC and RTC-NCR with a total of 22 number of attendees while the three resource speakers were coming from TUP – Taguig Campus.

Day 1 

April 17, 2023 (Monday)

The opening program was attended by our Center Chief, Mr. Gilbert M. Castro, who welcome all the participants from the different TESDA training centers in NCR after which the TESDA NCR Regional Director, RD Florencio F. Sunico Jr. delivered his message of support to the training on retooling the TESDA Trainers.

Two topics were being discussed in the morning by our first resource speaker Dr. Heherson Ramos, the Applied Research: Types and Purpose and Finding and writing RRLs in which he imparted to the attendees the difference of basic research and applied research and its importance to the Tech-Voc training.

In the afternoon, our resource speaker, Mr. Ivan Ray Ancero discussed the topics about Research Design and Methodology for Applied Research and Research Presentation Tips and Tricks.

Activities were given such as in Technical Research Designs which the participants were group into four and discussed the design frame assigned to them. Participants presented their group

An assignment was given to which the participants would identify a research title/problem and provided the Aims and Objectives, Audience and Stakeholders, Innovation, and Impact which was submitted through google drive.

Day 2

April 18, 2023 (Tuesday)

The third resource speaker of the training was Dr. Norway J. Pangan who discussed about Statistics and Results, and Intellectual Property Foundation which was followed by patent searching workshop in the afternoon wherein the resource speaker provided the worksheet of certain product specifications and guided the learners on the techniques of searching using the online platform of patent searching.

Awarding of Certificates and Token of Appreciation to the Resource Speakers followed by the awarding of Certificate of Participation to the attendees was later held before the training was officially concluded by the closing remarks of Mr. Edmar Jay Blanco, the Center Administrator of MDTAC.
