It was conducted in partnership with Advansol Power Technologies Co Ltd and in collaboration with the Philippine Solar and Storage Energy Alliance or PSSEA. The training emphasized safety standards and
innovations in solar systems, particularly the use of Module Level Power Electronics or MLPE.

The session opened with a warm welcome from RTC-NCR Center Administrator Eugene P Agcaoili, followed by insightful presentations from the three collaborating organizations. PSSEA highlighted the importance of safety standards and policy alignment, Advansol Power Technologies Co Ltd focused on technical innovations and MLPE applications, while RTC-NCR shared best practices in TVET integration
for renewable energy. The highlight of the event was the engaging panel discussion and hands-on training that deepened participants’ understanding of rapid shutdown technology and module-level control. The panel was moderated by TESD Specialist Rita Mae P Jordan-Gamboa, with expert perspectives from Mr. Ping Mendoza of PSSEA, Mr. Charles Cheng of Advansol, and Mr. Jerry O Taroy of RTC-NCR. Advansol’s Tomy David and David Liang led the hands-on sessions, where participants eagerly applied their learning in practical exercises.

Mr. Jose Rafael “Ping” Mendoza, President of PSSEA, shared insights on the topic “An Outlook for
Solar: The Rise of Distributed Energy,” highlighting the growing shift towards decentralized solar energy solutions.

         Mr. Jerry O.
