RTC-NCR recently forged a partnership with Grab and Move It for the skills training of its Partner drivers and riders in the Metro. Led by TESDA NCR Regional Director – Engr. Jovencio M. Ferrer, Jr., RTC-NCR Center Administrator – Gilbert M. Castro, Grab\u2019s Head of Operations – Cris Jude Lacsican, and Move It\u2019s General Manager – Wayne Jacinto, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in a ceremony held last February 29, 2024 held at the RTC-NCR HVAC facility in TESDA Complex, Taguig City. <\/p>\n\n\n

Grab (MyTaxi.PH) is a transportation network company that provides an internet cloud-based booking service for customers to find, locate, and secure the services of partner transport providers, through their partner independent third-party private car-owners, metered-taxi operators, and other forms of franchised transport providers. Meanwhile, Move It (We-Load Transcargo Corporation), a subsidiary of Grab, is a new player in the market of motorcycle ride-hailing offering delivery services and motorcycle passenger rides in the Philippines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As providers of transportation and courier services, both Grab and Move It recognized the unique challenges that women drivers and riders face especially in the area of security and emergency preparedness. As part of the contract, TESDA will be providing skills training to the partner drivers and riders of both companies in the field of Automotive Servicing and Motorcycle Riding Safety. Grab and Move It for its part will be in-charge in the endorsement of learners as well as providing the necessary consumables necessary for the success of the training delivery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The pilot batch of the said program was held on the same day and will be immediately followed on March 12, 2024 wherein Grab will send an all-women batch in line with the celebration of National Women\u2019s Month. <\/p>\n\n\n
