A coordination meeting was conducted on February 16, 2026, at the headquarters of CMB Films Services, Inc. in Quezon City, bringing together key representatives from the Film Academy of the Philippines, Lupon ng Pilipinong Sinematograpo, CMB Films Services, Inc., and TESDA RTC-NCR to advance the development of standards for the Philippine film workforce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Present during the meeting were Jim Baltazar, President of CMB Films; Paulo Villaluna, Director General of the Film Academy of the Philippines; Mackie Galvez, Division Chief of the Film Worker Development Division; Eugene P. Agcaoili, Center Administrator of TESDA RTC-NCR; Larry Manda of LPS; and members of the Technical Working Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting focused on aligning action plans toward the implementation of the Film Grip Servicing Level II. Discussions highlighted the need to develop curriculum, assessment tools, and the training of trainers to ensure industry relevance, safety compliance, and workforce readiness. In addition, the meeting addressed plans to develop and multiply trainers, create more Competency Standards for new and emerging skills within the creative sector, and support the establishment of the State-of-the-Art Film and Video Production Center at TESDA RTC-NCR, made possible with the support of CMB Films Services, Inc. The initiative aims to institutionalize skills recognition through competency-based training and assessment, consistent with TESDA\u2019s mandate to promote quality-assured Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), while strengthening the creative workforce and enhancing the Philippines\u2019 capacity for world-class film production.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
